1. Block up rear wheels.  Crack loose front lug nuts.  Jack up front of car, then install jackstands under outer edge of control arms.  Remove lugnuts and wheels.

2.  Disconnect brake hose at frame.  Remove cotter pins from lower ball joint nuts and remove nuts.
Undo and remove upper drum backing plate nuts and bolts.  Carefully slide out lower bolts, and remove drum assembly.  Clean off upper spindle, especially machined pads on reverse of spindle.

3. Install caliper bracket on outside of spindle with caliper opening facing rearward.  Slide supplied washer into opening between spindle and bracket.

4. Mark lower bolts with a chalk line across the head of the bolt in line with the hole drilled for the cotter pin.  You may need file the slots in the lower nuts deeper so that the cotter pins will slide in to the bolts.  Torque to spec.

5.  Slide machined bushing over spindle, with taper facing inward.   Properly pack bearings with grease.  Install inner bearing  and seal.  Mount rotor on spindle and install outer bearing with washer and nut.  Tighten nut with wrench while rotating rotor till bearings seat.  Back off  two turns, then run in nut with fingers only.  Install lock and insert cotter but do not bend.  Check rotor for ease of turning, but should not wobble.  If satisfactory, bend cotter and install dust cap.

6. Wash hands.  Wipe down rotor with laquer thinner or alcohol.  Install loaded caliper and tighten attaching slider bolts to 35 ft-lbs.  Check for interference.  Make sure bleed screw facing upward .  Attach hoses, gravity bleed and test.
