1. Block the rear wheels in place. Crack the nuts on the front wheels loose, then jack up and support with good jackstands on firm ground. Remove lugnuts and wheels. Remove outer bearing cap, cotter, lock, nut, washer and bearing. Remove drum. Spray hardline nut with penetrant oil. Undo four backing plate retaining bolts and remove as an assembly. Disconnect hydraulic hardline from flexible line at frame, then remove retaining clip.Scrape and clean off spindle.

2. Slide in and bolt up brackets as shown (note how "foot" reaches around the back), torqueing nuts to 45 ft-lbs, use lockwashers. Make sure calipers face to the rear. Now install inner bearing spacer on stub with a drop of LockTite red. Pack bearings with grease. Install inner seal.

3. Wash hands. Install rotor on spindle, install outer bearing and it's "friends" and torque to spec. This is usually done by tightening with a wrench till seated, then backing off one turn, and tightening by finger only. Rotor should turn easily, but not rock. If so, insert lock and cotter, along with cap.

4. Wipe down rotor with laquer thinner or alcohol. Wash hands. Carefully grease loaded caliper on rub point and install. Torque bolts to 35 ft-lbs. Give rotor a test spin; check for binding or abnormal rubbing.

5. The stock master cylinder will work, but currently we have no bolt-in solution for those who wish a dual master. Either way if you are running a underfloor mounted master, you will need a 2 pound residual pressure valve to the front discs, 10 pound to the rear drums.
